HOW MUCH IS SCHOOL TUITION?

FREE! We know, it seems too good to be true, but it really is free. We pay for up to 12 college credits per term at one of our approved college partners and work with you to maximize your time and credits to your future goals. We have many students who complete an associate's degree at the same time as their high school diploma. Not sure what you want to do after high school? That's okay. We can help you with that too and set you up with maximum flexibility and transferability for whatever comes next.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

They're pretty simple. We accept 9th-12th grade students in the state of Oregon. If you've never been in public school before, that's absolutely fine. As long as you are high school age, we can help get you going. It generally takes three years to complete all high school requirements. We do accept transfer credit from accredited high schools and colleges. For students under 15, only high school options classes are available. Students who under 16 are not able to take college classes at PCC, LBCC, RCC or UCC but may at another partner college.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT TO TAKE?

One of the best things about our program is the personalized attention. From the day you're accepted, you'll be assigned a licensed school counselor who will meet with you several times throughout the year to plan courses and next steps. Your assigned counselor is your go-to person for all questions and needs. Unlike traditional high schools that have counselor caseloads of several hundred, our counselor caseloads are capped at 100 students to ensure that you get the attention you deserve.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I GRADUATE?

Your counselor and our college & career specialists will work with you the whole time you are enrolled to plan your next steps. If you have a specific career path in mind, be sure to let your counselor know right away so that they can help you maximize pre-requisite or other necessary courses. The college credits you earn are guaranteed to be transferable to any Oregon public university, as well as the vast majority of public schools outside of Oregon and private schools both inside and outside of Oregon.

DO I GET TO CHOOSE WHAT CLASSES I TAKE?

Somewhat. As a public high school, our primary goal is to get you to high school graduation. Because of that, we'll make sure you're taking classes that are necessary for completing high school graduation requirements. You will have some latitude in the courses that you select to complete those requirements. You'll also need a lot of elective courses, and those you get to select on your own (though we are happy to help if you need ideas!).

CAN I PLAY SPORTS?

Our school does not have sports teams of our own, however, you are legally entitled to play sports at your local high school. If you'd like to participate in sports at your local public high school, we can help get you set up to do so.

WHAT IF I AM RECEIVING SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES?

Your IEP or 504 will transfer with you. We will work to get your accommodations transferred. However, because the courses you are taking are college-level, they cannot be modified. Accommodations for equitable access such as extended time or alternate testing locations are permissible. Modifications that alter the integrity of the course in any way (such as a reduction in homework or assessments) are not. Your counselor and the special education team will work with you to help you understand what your experience would look like to determine if it's an appropriate fit.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO TAKE ALL COLLEGE CLASSES OR COLLEGE CLASSES ARE TOO HARD FOR ME?

No problem. We have a variety of courses available for you. You can take all high school classes, all college classes, or a mixture of the two. We realize that every student is different and we will work with you to figure out the plan that is best for you and your future goals.
