We got you - let those words sink in.

At Baker Charter Schools we want every student to live a full life while pursuing their studies here. Through our efforts to build our Student Wellness program, we are now able to offer mental health counseling/therapy sessions, student wellness topics in our newsletters, and wellness surveys to ensure student needs are met.

Sallie Lees

I am excited to be joining Baker Charter Schools Student Wellness team this year.  I am a member of the Wyandotte Nation located in Oklahoma where many of my family members still live.  I grew up in the small town of Scappoose, OR.  I received my Masters in Social Worker in 2008 from the University of Washington and have had a variety of experiences in social services over the past 14 years.  My experience started in child welfare in Seattle, WA where my foundation and passion for working with families and kids began.  I have worked in medical social work and as a school counselor as well.  I later received my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in 2020.  I have a student centered and strengths-based approach.  I focus on working collaboratively with the student and family to help find solutions and build strategies to address concerns and challenges.  When I am not working, I am hanging out with my kids, or I’m out for run.
